Abstract
The thermal management in lower temperatures is required to lifetime and usability battery cells which works on Li-ion technology. New experimental methods can improve lifespan of electrical devices like electric vehicles or battery farms which contain Li-ion battery cells, and which are used in lower temperatures. One of new experimental methods for preheating the battery cells before charging is internal AC heating, which can be possible replacement for convention external heating methods. This paper present the method of internal AC heating and thermal distribution on Li-ion battery cell. Experiment was focused on total time of heating to safe temperature level with different electrical parameters. Last part of experiment was focused on State of Health (SOH) of batteries, which were used in AC preheating cycle.
