Abstract
One of the major objectives of the EU energy policy is to create an non-discriminatory conditions for the internal electricity market. The transposition of the European package into national law is intended to lay down uniform and non-discriminatory conditions for the connection of new power-generating modules to the electricity system and uniform conditions for market participants. Until 2019 there has been no harmonisation in the field of network connection requirements for power-generating modules across the European Union (EU). This has been changed by the so-called ''RfG'' network code on requirements for grid connection of generators regulation adopted by the EU Commission. The implementation procedure required EU member states to amend their network codes and to restructure them in order to make them compatible with the regulation. This Article therefore analyses the implementation procedure, explains the structure of this regulation, its main features, assesses its impacts and discusses the future of the respective regulation. This directive of RfG regulation is important from the point of view of the technical conditions for the operation of electricity systems. The article also analyses other legislation related to the implementation of the EU package, known as the ''winter energy package''. It contains aspects of regulation focused on guidelines so-called („SOGL“) establishing a guideline on electricity transmission system operation.
